Valentino SS17 - Runway report from Paris Fashion Week
Tasha Tudor once said: "Why do women want to dress like men when they're fortunate enough to be women? Why lose femininity, which is one of our greatest charms? We get more accomplished by being charming than we would be flaunting around in pants and smoking. "
I personally love mixing my outfits with men's clothing pieces: boyfriend jeans, suits inspired parts... but when Valentino presented his enchanting, charming and feminine collection at Paris fashion Week a few days ago, I couldn't be happier to be a women!
And this is exactly what's all about: feeling the romance of the clothing and of the materials, such as the rainbow-colored silk, which are highlighted by Valentino's romantic palette (rose, bubblegum, every shade of pink..).
After nearly 30 years of partnership with Maria Grazia Chiuri (who left the maison earlier this summer for Dior), Pierpaolo Piccioli expressed his romance and his magical atmosphere in these dresses characterized by long lines, transparencies, floral decorations, layers and delicate embellishments.
